Photovoltaic fixing on ballasted flat roof: energy with the right weight!
The ballasted photovoltaic fixing system proposes fixing through ballasts that are positioned on the roof and on which the entire system is anchored. Therefore, an installation without drilling is obtained, preserving the roof surface; consequently, potential problems of sealing and waterproofing are avoided.
The TEKNOMEGA fixing system offers a safe, reliable and efficient solution for the installation of solar systems on flat roofs. Mainly suitable for industrial, commercial and civil buildings. The flat roof offers a large free and easily accessible surface, ideal for the installation of high-performance systems.
Photovoltaic modules can be optimally oriented and tilted, maximizing energy production and adapting to the specific architectural and structural needs of the building.
The TEKNOMEGA range of ballasts allows you to cover a wide range of inclinations: coplanar (0°), 5°, 10°, 15°, 20°, 25° and 30°.
However, as with any system, it is essential to make an accurate assessment of the roof conditions and climatic needs, in order to ensure optimal and long-lasting performance of the photovoltaic system.
Certified systems
TEKNOMEGA has a technical office able to support the Customer from the design phase to the implementation phase. Each system requires a complete assessment to guarantee safety and performance, avoiding errors that can compromise stability. Our approach is to always check all ballasted systems according to all failure modes (overturning, lifting and sliding). We carry out accurate calculations taking into account the loads required by the Technical Construction Standards (NTC-2018).
- Check at overturning, in which the action of the wind causes the panel to rotate around the centre of rotation typically corresponding with the edge of the front ballast.
- Check at lift, in which the vertical action of the wind overcomes the gravitational force acting on the panel/ballast system.
- Check at Scroll, in which the horizontal action of the wind overcomes the friction force acting on the panel/ballast system.
Fixing techniques
Il The photovoltaic fixing system on this type of plane is achieved by mounting the panel directly on support structures in aluminium, steel or Magnelis® steel, fixed to the ballast using jaws and screws. A rubber insulation is also used, designed to provide effective protection to the support surface of the photovoltaic system and prevent water infiltration, increasing waterproofing. In addition to protecting the roof, in some cases it helps to increase the friction coefficient between the components, improving the stability of the fastening system.
These installations guarantee stability and resistance to different climatic conditions.
